Wiring issue in the wall
Members location is Cambodia.
Hi guys,
Please excuse me for my English. probably, I don't know what it is called in English.
Understand the cable has two color RED and BLUE. I also have electronic screw driver which has the small lamp in it. If the cable has POWER, the small lamp will be ON, Am I right? yeah.....
My problem is I think RED and BLUE meet somewhere in the wall because as I have tested with electronic pen by plugging RED into the circuit (with power) and the lamp of electronic screw drive is ON when touching the RED and the BLUE.
Is there anyway or tool that we can detect where the RED and BLUE meet in the wall?
Thanks and regards,

Wiring is different in different country's. This is mainly a US site. Tell us where you are and maybe we can help.

If those two wires met in the wall.... you would have a direct short and a protection device would have tripped.
Since your wire colors are red and blue...... blue is most likely neutral and red is the hot wire.
That means your "tester" should only show power on the red wire. If it's showing power on both red and blue then it sounds like there is no neutral present. That could mean that somewhere the blue line is not connected properly.
