GFCI Breaker or GFCI Outlets

I'm having a detached shop built and will have a 200 amp panel. For the general use outlets is it better to use a GFCI breaker or put GFCI outlet in first position and feed other outlets. I know the breakers are more money.

Both provide the same level of protection . Gfi receptacles can be easier to reset as they are normally closer to the point of use, however the breaker in the panel stops the need to find a gfi behind a box or pile of stuff. The receptacle is cheaper.

How do I wire this switch..?

[COLOR="blue"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"][FONT="Comic Sans MS"]Okay, I was stupid and didn't take a picture of the existing switch wiring before disconnecting it, but am 99% certain I remember what it looked like. I'm installing a new LED vanity light and want to replace the existing Levitron rocker switch with a sliding LED-rated dimmer switch. My house was built in `64 and has obviously seen many DIY projects from previous owners who took a lot of shortcuts, this switch being one of them. The switch box has a 2-wire cable running to the light box with black, white, and a bare ground wire and I've checked these wires for continuity with a multi-meter, so wiring this up should be a simple matter. However, the cable feeding the switch box only has a single black (hot) wire in it, nothing more. Now if I recall correctly, that single black wire was connected to the bottom (hot) screw on the rocker switch and both the black and white wires running to the light box were connected to the top (neutral) screw. Can that be right? The rocker switch has been in service for years, but I want to be sure I wire the dimmer properly so I don't fry it the first time I turn it on. Newer Open Ground Outlet wired from Grounded Metal Outlet

I've discovered the outlet for my gas stove has an Open Ground. It was obviously added as the drywall was never properly patched. Made it easier for me to determined that is was powered off the outlet from the refrigerator about 2 feet away. The refrigerator and another general outlet preceding are both metal and grounded. However, I'm only seeing 2 wires in both of those metal boxes (black/white). From research, I'm going to guess there's a ground wire crimped in the back of the metal boxes somehow and I'm just not able to see/access it. That wiring is pretty tight. The newer wired box has a ground wire that was cut down to the insulating cover. How could I properly ground this newer outlet?Read More
