[left]First timer here with a serious dilemma. We are planning a new home in the country, the property has single phase service to home, 3 phase to shop with no nuetral. The old house was not habitable so we’ve been running 30 amp power to Rv from shop, and additional ext from house. Partly because weird flucautions from shop. House gets demolished, and power company says because of no nuetral to 3 phase, nothing should be running but pump for well. My demo guy has electrician run a wire from pole to sub panel for nuetral. But power is still not right, can’t run AC, fans surge, but enough power to run smaller appliances. Thoughts? Oh and it’s hot, so we need a fix quick. [/left]

Hi All-- So was attempting to replace a porch light switch with a timer/switch that does not require a common. Should be simple....But when i opened things up, i found the following wiring layout. Need help on what this layout is, as i'm only used to newer house wiring. The porch switch is the last switch on the right. And apparently, the first two switch items only work if the porch switch is in the ON position! 1. why are all the whites bundled in the back? 2. why are all the blacks chained? 3. why is there another black going into each switch? 4. why is switch 3 controlling the other two switches? confused.....thx in advance [attach]96107[/attach] [attach]96108[/attach] [attach]96109[/attach]
