How to get my breaker to flip back to on?
Last night my room got tripped and the breaker is flipped to off. However, for some reason I cannot flip it back on. As soon as I flip it to the on position it flips back off again. What could be the problem? It's the 15amp breaker that I'm having issue with.

Okay, so I will have to unplug everything from all the receptacles in the room, flip the breaker back to off and then on again to reset, correct?

Also Charlie2 as a "tip". When trying to reset the breaker be sure you apply some pressure to the handle when attempting to push it to the "off" position. Just gently pushing it to the off and then back on is not resetting the breaker. Some people do not realize it does take some "pushing" of the handle to the "off" position to reset the breaker and then think there is still an issue.
I am not saying you do not have an issue but just be sure you are trying to reset the breaker properly so you are starting fresh with the issue at hand.

Your breaker may have tripped due to an overload. If so you need to reduce the demand on the circuit hit or add a new circuit.

Glad you got it working again by resetting it properly.
Meantime, if this breaker continues to trip again in the future there may be an issue with the circuit. Keep in the back of your mind what receptacles and lights are on this circuit and if it trips again try and determine what may have been plugged in at the time.
If you have any more issues with this circuit please let us know.
