Angry 12-3 to 12-2 troubleshooting please

I recently removed a wall and needed to move 3 switches - two singles (pot lights, flush mount) and a 3 way (island pendents). The power feeding them is coming off a 12-2 but the 3 switches were all 12-3. They no longer had enough wire to go to their new location, so I installed a junction box and ran 12-2 off the 12-3.
So to be clear, the power comes in on 12-2 and then the 3 switches each got spliced with 12-2 in the junction box to meet the needed length. Bare to Bare, White to White, Red to black, with the extra blacks off the 12-3 capped off. Lights work but the 3 way no longer does as it has no traveller wire (I am fine with this because the other switch was in a weird location - but if anyone can tell me how to keep it a 3 way I would be interested).
Here is the rub - unbeknownst to me, there are 3 receptacles downstream that now no longer work.
Thoughts? I do not know which circuit they are on.
Thanks for any advice!

Keep the three way and the receptacles by extending the rest of the wires.

so I should have extended the 12-3 with more 12-3 and not 12-2 right?

Yes, the third wire wasn't for decoration.

sigh - I know
Thanks! I will go buy some and fix tomorrow. Really should have a larger junction box anyway. May as well take it apart and do it right. Gah...
