using 4/0 SER in attic

note want to use SER not SEU
new construction wanting to go from main 200A panel to 100A sub panel in connected building ( house through fully enclosed breezeway to other use rooms. given distance of 120 feet between panels thinking that 4/0 underground wire would handle the distance and power. any reason to not use it - panel 200 up through wall through attic and back down wall to sub panel

4/0 in aluminum? Overkill for 100A. SER is not underground cable and is not allowed for underground use. If above ground use SER AL 1-1-1-3 for 100A.
