Wiring question - New Ceiling fan

I'm replacing an existing ceiling fan with a MinkaAire ceiling fan. The previous fan was wired with a black, white, red, and ground. There was no light on the fan.

The new fan includes a receiver and only requires black, white and ground. How would I wire the red? Would I just tie it off?

Also the current wall switch is wired with two blacks and no white. I assume this feeds the adjacent switch for separate recessed lighting? So I assume I would run black to black and then to black of adjacent switch. Then wire white to white currently unattached?

I've included pics of instructions, wall switch, and new fan.

Thanks in advance!
