Soldering/Glueing connections to a solar panel
Hi, I have a small solar panel to trickle charge a battery on a remote gate opener. It's been fine but recently stopped charging so I checked and the wire connections on the back are tarnished and one has fallen off.It appears that the wires were just attached to the silver-foil back of the panel and then held there with sticky tape, also falling off.Is there some conductive adhesive or solder method I can use to reattach the wires as the output from the panel is still good. The silver foil looks to be part of the actual panel as it is in a grid pattern. Thanks

It can be soldered but it will require the proper amount of heat quickly and some type of flux.
You might want to look into the automotive kits that are used for rear defogger/demister repair.
Basically the same repair.... a lug or wire to glass.
