GFCI Help!!!
I'm trying to install a GFCI outlet under my sink for my garbage disposal and dishwasher. There is a white, black, and red wire. I attached the black and red wire to the gold screw line side and attached the white wire on the silver screw line side. Now the outlets work but the switch to the garbage disposal does not. The garbage disposal just stays on......any thoughts?

It depends on how things were wired. If both dishwasher and GD were plugged in to the same duplex receptacle then it's not going to work. A GFCI has both top and bottom outlets connected together so can't be half switched. The easiest thing to do in those cases is to use a GFCI circuit breaker in the electrical panel.

As Astuff mentioned:
If you look closely at the old receptacle, you'll see the little brass tab connecting the top hot/brass screw to the bottom screw was removed. This allowed one receptacle to be switched for the GD and the other to be always on for the DW.
A GFI receptacle can't be half-switched, so you'll either need a GFI circuit breaker in your panel, or use a double-size/gang box and have two GFI receptacles, one for the GD and one for the DW. (or a regular for the DW if it's allowed)
