Wiring needs for EV

My carport is wired for a 240 volt heater that was removed and the wiring capped. The wire is 10-2 with ground and was previously attached to a 30 amp double pole circuit. Will the 10-2 be sufficient for a home charger for an EV if I choose to buy one of these cars?

Thanks.

It will be sufficient for a charger up to 30A @ 240V (7200W).

EV chargers are a rapidly changing landscape. Some parking lot chargers are now 50kW and 30 cents per minute. Most homes won't support 204 Amps to the garage!
