using dehumidifier

using dehumidifier

have a dehumidifier that I want to move a basement room...the outlet that I will be using is be hind a desk....can I use one of the plugs that goes in outlet but has sides to plug into...do not want to plug straight in and have the cord come out...do not have room for it....

You're talking about a device that plugs into the receptacle and has side receptacles on it.
That should be ok. Your dehumidifier will have its power requirements on it. Make sure the adapter is rated higher than that.

You can also replace the plug on the dehumidifier with a low profile angle plug.
