400Amps service with solar sytem.

Hi everyone,

I am new in this blog here. So I have residential solar project and this house has a 400Amp and the solar system will have 2 -10kW inverters that will supply energy to the house. The amperage for both inverters is 60 amps and will have a 100amp fuse disconnect to protect the PV system. The system will supply power through #2AWG copper wire size. Will the #2AWG wire be in danger of frying it self if the PV system is line taped to the load side?

Considering an on-grid system without battery storage? Do the inverters have a frequency sync feature?

Welcome to the forums.

That's what I want to know.

Solar systems are not usually direct to AC in the house.
Most are grid tie systems and synch to the incoming line power.

You can't directly tie your solar system to your service panel without a grid tie system.
