Question about Wiring GFCI Outlet
I am remodeling my kitchen and adding GFCI receptacles. In one of the 2 gang boxes, I have the gfci, a usb outlet, and 3 NM cables (one supplying power and 2 feeding downstream outlets). I connected the incoming hot and neutral to the gfci. From there, I connected the neighboring usb outlet to the load side of the GFCI. On the load side of the USB outlet, I pigtailed the 2 cables feeding downstream outlets. Is that an okay way to wire everything, and will devices on the load side of the USB outlet have GFCI protection (due to the usb outlet being connected to the load side of the gfci)? In retrospect, I probably should have connected everything to the load side of the gfci instead of the load side of the neighboring usb outlet. I appreciate any input.
