New Electrical Outlet

I got this smart idea I would hide my electrical wire hanging off my wall mount TV. I added a box behind the tv and ran a wire behind the wall connecting to the outlet box below. I realized the closest electrical outlet was about 10ft. I’ve ran plenty of network wires so thinking outside of the box, I figured I would just connect an extension cord from the old box to the new box and be good. Well I quickly realized that you will need a male to male extension cord which don’t exist. I understand why they don’t exist but in my case they aren’t both hot wires. Are there any suggestions to fix this or should I just scrap this idea? And No I’ve haven’t tried this yet as I don’t want to get shocked . Thanks in advance your help.

Change the middle box to an inlet instead of an outlet. Now a standard cord could be used.
