Long run for an AC outlet

I would like to add an AC outlet at my entry gate. However the gate is 330 feet from my panel. My main objective is to run a battery charger for my Gate opener so the draw will be low. At this distance, I believe there will be voltage drop. Can I get away with 12 ga wire? Advise please.

Maybe. We would need to know the amperage and allowable voltage range of the proposed charger.

Proposed charger

The proposed charger is a 1.5 amp charger but does not list the allowable voltage range.

Maintainer chargers require little current, my guess <1 amp. At 300'/112 AWG voltage drop should be minimal and well within the 120v +/- range of the charger.

There are voltage drop calculators on line if you can determine your chargers load. Voltage drop

Sounds like a good application for a solar charger.

Thanks everyone. We have a solar charger now and are not happy with it. Would also be nice to have power at the gate for other lighting in the future but the charger is my main purpose.
