quiet warmth - fault when stepped on

I have recently installed a second room with quietwarmth, but this one has a total of 11 mats, but 3 of them have a the same problem. When I step on it or there is weight on the wire led that connects to the mat, the thermostat will trip with a gfci fault. I can trigger this time over time again on command. Has anyone else had this problem, thoughts on why?

Defective mat. Does GFI outlet or thermostat trip?

Welcome to the forums.

Poor installation.
Not following the install directions.... exactly.

These floor heating thermostats have a GFI built in.
Many offer a higher current trip rating to reduce nuisance tripping.

You have 11 mats. How do you know which ones have the fault ?
What is the mat installed over..... cement/concrete ?
A GFI trip is from the heating element to ground.
