radial arm saw restore

Does anyone have experience restoring 35 old machinery? I have a rockwell radial arm saw that I would like to clean and fix some things. I would also like to get it appraised, so any information on how I could do that would be great. Thanks in advanced.

I'm afraid radial arm saws are not highly valued these days, having been widely superseded by sliding compound miter saws, and more recently, track saws. Nevertheless, you can find lots of info on older machinery at:

Yeah, I can appraise it for you here - it's going to be worth nothing in all likelihood; there just is no market for them any longer.

There is a small market for them but very doubtful you could put any money into and expect to get it back. I'd only consider spending money repairing it if I had use for it. Outside of a commercial wood shop I don't think there ever was much of a demand for them.

35 years old.....I have socks that old My radial arm dates to 1973, and one table saw in storage the same year. They just won't break, so why replace them? What the others said. RAS are going by way of the dinosaur. I particularly like mine, though, so yours may be worth restoring it.......BUT not for resale value.
