older sears bandsaw help

hello

i recently purchased a used older sears band-saw MODEL#113.24200
i looked on line for a PDF manual but the only one i could find was for a model#113.24201 which i am assuming is nearly identical?

i removed the side of the saw and noticed that the rubber around the lower wheel was "slopping/flopping" around when the saw was running, while it ran effectively for a period of time it eventually came off.
so for starters i need a new rubber band for the lower wheel, and was wondering what to expect in terms of hassle trying to wrestle that on?

as far as adjustments go between the similar manual i have and "you tube" i figure i can wade my way through.
if anyone has any helpful advice on the rubber band replacement or where to get parts for these older sears tools it would be much appreciated.

also: while this forum is my go to place for any questions i was wondering if there is some well known woodworking site with hard core wood jocks out there somewhere?

thanks

The rubber thingy is a tire. You can google tires for band saws, although I assume that you can still get them right from Sears. Go to searspartsdirect.com and enter your model number. You can probably find the exact manual there too, but the 01 you found is probably more than close enough to help you get everything adjusted the way it needs to be.

Sears still supports that Emerson built tool.

The tire is part # 41815

You can find the parts listing in the following link under the "sander parts" tab.
sears parts direct/model-number/11324200/0247/0744100.html

I see a high quality replacement repair set on eBay.

Here's one from Amazon...

I buy mine from Carter Products.
Band Saw Parts, Kits & Products - Band Saw Attachments | Carter Products
All they need to know is OD of the wheel.
