Performax oscillating saw

Performax oscillating saw

model # 241-0958 ? saw would run erratically then stop...would run for a short time again after bumping it....now it won't run at all... any ideas?

Check the cord for continuity. They often will develop a break at the strain relief. Cutting the wire a few inches shorter then rewiring it will often fix that problem, if that's what it is.

The light stays on the whole time.

You could check the brushes.

would the light stay on if the switch was bad?

took the covers off by the head...no apparent problem...replaced....removed lower covers...wire had come off of it's terminal...runs like a champ....
