Riobi table saw kill switch
Good gentleman
I require your help please. I have a Ryobi Table saw HBT255l. I bout a new switch as the old one is broken, but need assistance in wiring in the new switch. I have added what I think is the original wiring, also a pic of the original switch diagram on the switch. I Have added the new switch pic as well. I have no idea where to place the wires on the new switch. Can you please assist me please.
Thank you

Welcome to the forums from S. Africa.
When I look up the switch you bought..... it appears to be for a drill press. A drill press wouldn't need braking so I'm not sure if it will work. It would make it easier if I could find a wiring diagram of it but after a half hour.... no luck.
If you have an ohmmeter meter you can check the operation of the switch you bought. I've listed the switch pairs. You need to push the green button in and find two sets of contacts that are shorted. The third set should be open. When you push the red button.... the two pairs that were shorted should now be open. The one that was open should be shorted.

This looks like the replacement you should be using..... switch.
