dremel chain saw sharpening tool not working well?
im trying to use the dremel attachment to sharpen chain on 16" bar electric saw.
1st dumb question... i dont see any sparks . is all the oil/grime on the chain clogging the sharpening stone? cleaning the teeth with solvent would be a real hassle. is metal being shaved off the teeth even if I dont see sparks?
im not sure any cutting or 'bite' is happening. do i need to put a lot of pressure and make a lot of passes to get it to work?

While I don't have a chainsaw sharpener I do sometimes use my knock off dremel with a stone to sharpen my saws and I've never seen any sparks. You should be able to look at the teeth and tell if metal is being removed. The teeth you've sharpened will be shinier than the ones you haven't.
