Smile Best cordless outdoor power tool brand?

Have searched all threads and unable to locate one that discusses the pros/cons for all the different battery powered or cordless lawn equipment options, by Brand; DeWalt, EGO, Greenworks, Black & Decker to name a few. A lot of options on the internet, just looking for a couple "real user" reviews from the forum readers, thanks!

Hello and welcome to the forum. While we sometimes give opinions on our personal favorite tools and/or brands when someone asks, we don't give reviews or have discussions on pros and cons. Sorry, but this is not that kind of forum.

FWIW, I bought the WORXS 32v trimmer. I much preferred the gas, but could not find one that also converted to an edger like my old one did. This unit comes with two batteries and so called free trimmer line for life (you pay $8 shipping). It woks OK but not perfect. The self feed is erratic at best, but so are most other brands and complaints I've heard about. For the price it does the job. I've gotten use to the idea of having to manually feed the line every so often. The best feature is the two batteries. Always keep one on charge and you can do a very large area. It's easy to convert to an edger and the line last pretty long. It even converts to a mini mower for getting under ledges that a lawn mower can't.

I bought an EGO blower 2 summers ago and really love it 0 it's got a lot of power and enough battery life for my needs. I then bought an EGO string trimmer that uses the same battery as the blower so now I have an extra battery. The trimmer does a good job, too - this is my 2nd season with it and no problems so far. I have about 20 minutes of edging/trimming to do each week and I charge up both batteries every other week or so.

The trimmer is not as powerful as a gas trimmer, but I always found the gas ones to have too much power and it would get away from me fairly easily.

Thank you Norm201, I've heard of the WORX brand as one of the top lines to check out - so I will definitely look at that one too. I Didn't realize some of these string trimmers can convert to an edger too so that is cool to find out. thanks!

Thanks for the idea to check those publications/sites. As a follow up to my original post, and after much research online about "who" makes the best battery powered yard tools (and seeing dozens of different opinions) I noticed a trend of those recommending the EGO power tool brand as the best across the board. Since I needed a leaf blower, string trimmer/edger, mower, pole saw, etc. etc. I went for it a couple of weeks back.

Now 10 days or so after using each EGO power tool i bought, I have to say I made a great (but not cheap!) decision to invest in this brand. Sorry if that sounds like an AD. I'm just super impressed with this type of equipment, and also how much time I am saving - not mixing oil and gas, not ripping my arm out of the socket yanking the pull cord, just plug in the battery and go. Why didn't someone tell me about this 5 years ago!?
if it helps anyone else out there, I found a lot of good reviews on various types of yard tools at ******** which links to Amazon, but you likely can find EGO products elsewhere as well. I also educated myself at the EGO website which shows their full rundown of everything they make for outdoor equipment - very deep product line, all running off the same 56 Volt system.
Thanks, everyone for the suggestions, I am sure the WORX, Black & Decker, DeWalt brands are solid performers, but like Dan1973 comment above, with their 56-volt vs. 20 & 40 Volt of other brands, I'm definitely sold on the EGO power plus line.

we don't give reviews or have discussions on pros and cons
Since when?

I have no problem recommending or providing feedback on a product, a retail establishment, or method of doing something, I thought that WAS the intent of this forum!

Not talking about if someone asks about one thing. Read their first post. They were looking for a section that lists reviews and discussions about all products. We don't have that here.
