air compressor motor test

sears.
919.167241

120VAC

wont start.

i tested for power at the motor terminals.
i have power.
i belive testing it at the motor isolates the problem from safety shut offs and fuses. i dont see any fuses in the parts list
motor and compressor turn freely by hand.
is there any way to test the motor to be sure it is the motor?

if it is the motor, anyone know where i can get one and is it worth replacing the motor?

The motor doesn't appear to be replaceable.
It looks like the motor comes as an assembly called the end bell and is expensive.

Z-D23625 End Bell

Can't even tell what type of motor it is. It almost looks like a brush type motor.

saw that "end bell" in the parts list and assumed that was the motor. sears parts doesnt carry it.
at that price, i could buy another compressor.
i only use it as a homeowner, i dont need anything expensive. only use it a few times a year.

unless someone has a better idea, guess i will buy a new one and use this one as a portable air tank. or, hook it to the new one and have more air reserve for tools.
