electric nail guns
Need advise on the use and practicality of an electric (corded or cordless) nail gun.
The main use of this gun will be to re-nail the inside ridge board on my cabin. It's a vaulted ceiling and is about 18 feet high from the floor. I'll be using a generator for power.
Although I'll find many more uses for this tool I don't want to spend too much since the only real reason is for the above mentioned job. I have a pneumatic nailer but getting the compressor up the mountain side will be a challenge and I'm not sure my generator could handle the air compressor demands.
With that said I looked at Harbor Freight and they only seem to have a stapler/nailer in an electric configuration.
BTW the ridge board I'm nailing is a 1 x 3 strip. I'd have a hard time using a normal hammer in that position.
So my question is, any suggestion as to what to buy or brands to look at? And thoughts if the nailer will even do the job.
EDIT...Any thoughts about this one?

I've never personally used an electric nail gun but it always appeared to me they weren't too stout and left a lot of nails unsunk. That said, they have come out with battery operated nail guns that some rave about.

Umm... I would let the reviews of that tool speak for themselves.

You would want a cordless finish gun for that type of work... not an electric brad/stapler.

I have watched many videos of people using cordless nailguns and they have really come to the mainstream matching the speed and convenience of an air nailer. However, their price tag is quite steep at $250 - $350. You might be better off picking up an inexpensive small air compressor that can run off the generator and just use the existing nail guns you already own.
