Using a Ryobi BT300 table saw

I have a Ryobi BT300 table saw and a 2"x4"x6' board. How do I do a length-wise cut so that the board is tapered along its length?

Easiest and safest way, in my opinion, would be to use a circular saw. With a table saw you would need to make a taper jig with a long shoe to run in your miter slot.

Take another piece of wood and lay it parallel to the taper... then tack that piece of wood onto the board you are cutting with Brad nails or screws. Then run them both through the table saw. Then disassemble.
