DSC - how to disable auto stay?

I want to be able to disable the auto stay function.

Is there a way I can disable this so every time I arm away it goes into that mode rather to arm stay because I never open closed a door.

System is pc1832
Thanks.

On a DSC it's somewhat hard coded into the system. If there are no zones programmed as a stay/away zone type (zone types 5 or 6), then it won't auto switch.

To change this behavior, you have to have access to system programming (know the installer code), and know what zones are set for these zone types (normally, motion detectors and interior doors).

Installer manual: http://cms.dsc.com/download.php?t=1&id=17007

Changing the zone type doesn't disable the zone, Instead of zone type 5 - "interior stay/away". It would be zone type 4 - "interior". Same function, but without the auto-switch.
