How to check if smoke detector enabled/disabled on DSC 5010?
I have an old DSC 5010, and it has a two wire smoke detector connected to PGM2 and AUX+ but the LED is off on the smoke detector. I suspect this was disabled when the new monitoring company took over. I believe they charged extra for fire. I no longer pay for monitoring. I tried *72 to reset it but that did nothing.
I hooked up a multi-meter to the wires at the smoke detector and I get no voltage there. Also no voltage between PGM2 and AUX+.
How can I check if it's disabled?
I've searched and can't find an answer in the forums.
Thanks

Going to answer my own post. This worked for me.
*8 [Installer code]
009 19 04
Exit programming
I also, had to re-calibrate my smoke alarm for it to stop chirping.

I was about to say; no voltage at the terminals was the test. Take a look at the manufacture date on your smokes. If they are more than 10 years old; replacing the might be something smart to budget for.
