I even powered down and up the system it did not reset it just keeps beeping. any suggestions?

Welcome to the forums.

Did you power the system down completely..... AC and battery ?
Did you have a lightning strike nearby ?

On a complete power down.... the fire alarm would reset.
Do you see any red lights on.... on any of the heads ?

Not a good sign. The PC2550 is a pretty old system; so there's no replacement parts outside of something like an auction site.

If you have fully powered down and restored AC and battery power, it's a pretty good chance the system isn't coming back. Are you sure you are getting power from the wall plug power pack? There are also several fuses on the main board to check.
