1 or 2 outdoor camera system - Battery powered?

Hi everyone I recently had some new "neighbors" move in across the street from me. Basically a huge group of high school graduates that bought a $10k craphole that set abandoned for years. Anyways, they're a bunch of idiots that are constantly leaving trash in my yard, rowdy at all hours of the night (up until 4AM), and are causing my family, including my 2 year old daughter, to lose sleep. I'm basically fed up with the situation and want to do something about it. The cops state that unless I have evidence, they can't do a whole lot. So my thought is to use some outdoor security cameras to film this so I can not only report them to the police/city council with evidence, I can take them to small claims court. I have tried talking to them and was met with 5 of them threatening me (I'm 32, they're lucky to be 21). Needless to say, they were warned that since I tried being nice and they threw it back in my face, that both my wife and I are armed and to stay off our property. Here are my wants: - Outdoor Camera, will be mounted under my porch overhang. - Nightvision is a big plus but probably doesn't need to be amazing. The area between our houses is well lit by street lights. - WiFi for recording or on board storage (SD, microSD, etc). - Preferably battery powered. Yes, this is probably the biggest sticking point if not impossible. I don't have the money or skill to start cutting holes in my walls. Price isn't a major concern but I'd like to keep it $100 and under. This will also help protect my vehicles from damage due to random idiots in the town that come around and use a nail gun to puncture tires, poop on the hood (yes....happened numerous times this year to others), etc.Read More

Replacing an alarm company installed panel. Recommendations?

I have an alarm company installed system (DMP XR20) that's about 10+ years old. I tried working with Geoarm to take over the monitoring - just phone line level of service. They (and me) weren't familiar with the system. A manager there pitched getting a new system that I'd install. It would be something they know how to help with and I'd have more experience with it, having installed it myself. I know I can call their tech support for this, but I'd like to get people's thoughts here for the brand / maybe model that they like. I'd like to keep it low cost. The existing system's administration is all through the keypad / 2 lines of cryptic text. Do the new systems (any? all?) have a web interface for administration? Controlling the system from a phone would be cute but don't want to spend hundreds more. And then there's a higher monthly cost? Built in or inexpensive option for cellular would also be nice. On the one hand I'm just looking to make my wife happy to know the house is 'monitored' so just the $8 / month service for phone monitoring is enough. But if I can add bells and whistles at low cost, I'd be nice. We have about 12 zones. It looks like they added a DMP board that adds additional zones.to handle a couple over the 10 on the board.
