Using two 216E Expanders for 16 zones
I will be using two boxes: one for NX-8E panel, battery, one expander; the second for NX-595E panel and second expander. Using two expanders, I am hoping to configure so that there isn't such a jumble of wires. Can I do this?:
On expander #1: Switches 1-5 OFF, Switch #6 ON (which disables the second group of 8 zones). So this expander has zones 9 thru 16. This makes this expander device #22
On expander #2: Switches: 1-OFF 2-ON, 3-OFF, 4-OFF, 5-OFF, 6-ON. This expander should be zones 17 thru 24, with the second group of 8 zones disabled. This makes this expander device #16. Using Switch 6, there is no need for resistors to null the zones.
My wireless receiver will be set to start with zone 25.
Did I interpret the directions correctly?
