Smoke Alarm/Detector
The chirping on my smoke detector is driving me nuts and I hope someone can give me an advice.. I already replaced the battery also bought a new smoke detector but somehow still chirping.. Any idea besides changing battery and replacing a new detector that I can give a try? Thanks in advance

If you have replaced the detector, and are still hearing chirping, then the problem may be with a different device. A lot of devices use basically the same piezo sounder, and that sound can carry a surprising distance.
Look for things like CO detectors that are often plugged into outlets behind furniture. I've had one person report finding a forgotten detector shoved into a drawer.

Thank you Ron! I finally solved the chirping by putting a good battery brand (Duracell)..I guess the Kidde battery that came with the detector was a piece of crap..

If your smoke Detector is chirping, then one of the following may be the reason:
1. The battery may be loose or installed improperly
2. The smoke alarm sensing chamber may be dirty
3. Humidity, steam, or other environmental factors
4. An electrical condition may be causing power to the unit to be interrupted
5. The alarm may have reached its end of life ""
