Is my glass breakage detector working ?

Hello I have a ademco Vista with a 5852 glass brekage detector. Yesterday I decided to remove my old glass shower doors and put it in the living room and right above it is the glass breakge detector. Overnight somehow the shower door shattered and the alarm armed in stay instant mode didn't go off. I checked the sensors programming and it's programmed to zone type 3 Perimeter. Is my sensor not working ? Is there any way to test that it's working thanks.

There are glassbreak simulators you can use to test. Also check the sensitivity setting on your sensor. If you sensor is really old, you might consider replacing it.

This chart shows which sensors are compatible with different glassbreak simulators:

I’ve checked the sensitivity and it’s on the highest so I guess I will buy the orange tester and a new glass break detector just In case mine ends up not working
