Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr advises against letting anyone into your house without a prescheduled appointment. Your current alarm company will never show up unannounced to “upgrade” your equipment or switch service.
That is correct.

It's not only the trunk slammers that are duping the people. The biggies..... names won't be mentioned..... lock their customers into a 5 year contract with increases every year AND they lien the house while the contract is in force.
Remember...... "free" is not free.

I read the article and I like this statement..." If you feel pressured, there’s no need to be polite — tell the person to leave. "

This goes for situations when you solicit their product or services. Several years ago I my wife and I contemplated a motorized RV. We went to showroom. We said we were just looking and did not intend to buy. By the time we were done looking the sales lady had a contract ready for us to sign. I told her we were being pressured. She got insulted and we left. Best walk out I ever had.
