Hardware trouble with NX-480 PIR sensor in a NX-8 system
Hi there from Italy.
I have a serious trouble in a NX-480 sensor. It runned perfectly in past 2 years, then, after low battery signal we replaced two 1.5 AA battery. Two days and a new lowbat signal. I found a little oxidation in SMD circuit, clean oxide and the sensor seem runs but start to report false alarm response. This is the second sensor in 6 year (the other was more damaged by oxide).
Any people has same trouble? how can i solve it?

Are you in a high humidity area? If so, you may need to use some dielectric grease on the battery terminals, and consider changing your batteries on a more frequent schedule.

Humidity? Maybe, it's the washing machine room. Surely a wired sensor works in a dry condition. But the room doesn't seem so wet. A good idea dielectric grease solution.

I'm from Florida. Moisture is something that you _always_ have to take into account. A laundry area is definitely a higher than average moisture area.

I live under ALPS mountain, Piedmont. The house standing under a hill. Surely it has moisture trouble.
I worked several years on fire/burglar fields in the same conditions.
First time it happens. I think better solution is a wired sensor. The components can work always and dry humidity.
