Ademco Vista motion detectors not setting alarm off
I have an Ademco Vista 20 for home alarm. The complete system is hardwired and Each sensor is wired to a separate zone (all are hard wired).
If I enter test mode on the panel, all contacts and motion sensors work correctly.
Out of the 4 motion detectors, two work fine in the living area of the home.
However, when I arm the system, neither of the motion sensors in my basement/ garage trigger the alarm. If I do not ARM the system, and I do walk in front of either the sensors, the keypad shows a fault in the corresponding zone.
This happens in both the stay and away.
I seem to remember doing something to the keypad (maybe a command?), due to the fact the system continually chimed as I walked around in the garage.
How can I get those two motion detectors to set off the alarm if they detect a motion?
TIA,

Are you opening and closing an entry/exit zone when you arm? Otherwise, interior devices, like motions, are automatically bypassed, because the system defaults to "stay" arming.

I thought we had tried that, I guess he hadn’t. We always leave out of our garage door and not the entry door. Now we know we have to open the entry door as soon as we set the alarm on.
Thanks,
