Older Digi-key-III alarm system

I have an older (1990) alarm system. It works fine but. Some of the switches at doors and windows do not work anymore
I need to replace them. I got some from Amazon that are nc type and include magnets for each switch. Does anyone know if these will work. I assume nc means normally closed and they can be wired any way, without regard to polarity?

Yes..... that is correct. They are just a switch so there is no polarity.
