Window tinting Llumar vs. Suntek

We just moved into a home (in north Georgia) with huge windows on the back of the house. We have a beautiful view and don't want to cover it, but the sun in the morning is blinding us, and in the summer the room is so hot. In the winter, it will probably be cold. We are looking into getting the windows tinted. Any recommendations on Llumar vs. Suntek, and regular vs. ceramic. House was built in 2005, so I think the windows are double pane per code. Would the ceramic affect our wifi or phone reception? (that might be a dumb question)

Outdoor sealant - what is this? How to correct?

See pics. I'm working to address exterior gaps/holes to limit access for pests and increase energy efficiency. The attached pics are of an exterior spigot and an AC unit attachment. As you can see, there is an old, black, peeling putty-like seal around both. Neither are doing a great job. I think they may be black pro-grade "Great Stuff" - but I'm not sure. How can i fix? Remove the old? Add a new layer? Something else? Drafty windows in old house

I bought a 1920s house wwit original windows. I can feel a draft coming from the sides of the window frame and there is about a pinky finger size gap on the side of the windows. I am not sure if I can caulk this gap or use spray foam from the inside or if I should do it from the outside. Any tips or ideas appreciated.Read More
