Proper felt under clapboard
Is there a real benefit between companies for using #15 felt under clapboard? I'm in Iowa so the weather change is pretty drastic. Would I be ok with just a standard felt from a place like Menards/Home Depot/Lowes?

I thought 15 lb felt was the standard weight tar paper ??
Felt is kind of old school but it does work, most everyone today uses WRB [house wrap]

I may just use house wrap instead of tar paper. I'm sure the wrap is easier to work with over the tar paper anyway.
