best wood repair product

aloha ,
just wanted to hear from my fellow diyer's on what they like to use to make repairs to exterior siding.
in the past I have used wood putty mixed with titebond, home repair bando and west system epoxy with fillers.
so, let me know what you like to use and why. anyone with their own secret mix?
let me know and include where you are using your product. I live on the leeward side of Oaha and it doesn't rain much. no freezing, no extreme heat.
looking forward to your ideas and comments.

I don't see this as a survey...

Depends what the siding is, why you're patching it, how big of a hole, etc. The West System stuff is probably the best. Bondo works well. If the spot is wet or gets wet, all bets are off.
