Cut existing Hardie board HardiePlank siding in place

I have Hardie board siding and I want to add a new exterior door. Does anyone have any experience cutting hardiplank siding in place on an existing house? Any suggestions on saws, blades, techniques??? Thank you!!

Just place a 1x4 against the house to provide a flat surface for the saw, (fasten it to the waste side of your cut with just a couple nails/screws) set the blade to the right depth and use a skilsaw. Either use a fiber cement carbide blade or a cheap demo carbide that you will throw away. On the corners, a multitool (Fein Multimaster or similar) works best to finish the cut.
