Fixing rotten cedar siding, discover rot underneath

I finally got around to addressing the rotten siding on the side of our house and noticed the rot underneath when I pulled the pieces off. It looks like a portion of the sill plate and the stud is rotten and there is some rotting also happening around the frame of the window above. How do I go about solving this problem? Needless to say, my original plan of just replacing the siding is off the table. Thanks

Anything rotten needs to be removed and replaced. That said, without addressing why it got wet and rotted in the first place is essential or you're just replacing again shortly.

I could not see the attached image, so it's anyone's guess what's causing the issue.

Now I can see the pictures.
There's not much done right on this one.
There's no kick outs on both roofs to direct the water running off the roof away from the walls.
Not seeing any Z molding above the window trim.
Any time there's a window that close to a roof line there's going to be issues.

Considering the rot is below the eve of the structure coming off the main wall that would be my starting point.

What is that anyway, it looks like a bad add on, might want to consider removing!

Thanks Joe, yes the roof of the shed is a problem. For starters, we are going to tear the shed down.
