Can I install LP Smart Panels over OSB Sheathing?
I am looking at siding options for a detached garage we had built, while I was looking at T1-11 siding, I like the somewhat more weather resistant and already primed ready for paint LP Smart Panels. While the LP Smart Panel is thinner, I don't see that being an issue.
But, despite my best efforts in searching I cannot find an answer as to whether it can be installed directly over OSB sheathing. Currently, the gable ends are covered with OSB sheathing, what I want to do is install the LP Smart Panels over that.
I can find info about attaching LP Smart Siding, I can find info about installing over foam sheathing, what I cannot find is installing it over OSB. So, can anyone tell me if I can do that or do I need something between?
Thanks.

I believe 7/16" is a minimum thickness. Otherwise, I prefer the house to be wrapped and strapped first for moisture and water.

I think a house wrap is a must. I have LP Smart Side claps and the installers had never put it up before. They loved it and so do I. Here's some installation guidance from the mfr. https://lpcorp.com/resources/product...e-panel-siding

Great, is something like this OK to use?

The reason I ask, I have a spare roll of it left over from installing the roof. While I don't mind spending the $40 on some house wrap from Lowes, if I can use this stuff I already have and save the $40, it will be nice.

Felt Paper (Tarpaper) used to be used under siding but hasn't been used for years - I think. Better to spend a few bucks and go with something like Tyvek.

2 layers should be fine, I'll have to check the roll later and see how big it is. Might be only 400sq ft though, which will likely get me about 1.6 layers!! haha
What I might do, I have to go to Lowes later, if they have any wrap in stock I will grab some, if not, then I'll plan to use the felt paper and aim for 2 layers.

Home Depot stocks the 4 ft rolls of Tyvek. Not sure about Lowes. I wouldn't buy any woven wraps, they are junk.

Closest Home Depot is about an hour away, so I typically only go to Lowes. This is what I am looking at:
