How to paint a distressed wall to look like copper with patina?

I am trying to change my living room from just plain Boring Brick red color. I want to do an accent wall or maybe just do all the walls distressed and maybe bottom half with faux brick. Possibly paint the brick then distress it. Top half look like copper with patina? Anybody have any thoughts or different suggestion and possibly know how to do the patina look?

Welcome to the forums!

I never did a lot of faux painting but basically it would involve applying the base color and after it dries apply the the patina color [thinned down with a glaze] then before it dries, blot off a portion of the glaze coat with a rag or sponge.

Do a search for Venetian Plaster for the copper look.
I haven't done it but I've looked into it several times and find it interesting.
