How to install a self closing mechanism on a steel gate
I am looking for a solution to keep my gate closed. I have a steel pedestrian gate in my front yard. The gate will swing freely with the wind. The only way I have to keep the gate closed is to keep it locked. But that restricts people from coming to my front door such as delivery drivers. The latch is not reliable because the fence shifts during the year due to temperature changes.
Any suggestions on how to fix this? The gate has simple J Bolt type hinges that work fine, not easily replaceable.
