Loose bottom in chain link fence

I have a new pup and he got under a section of neighbor's chain link fencing that's has some gaps along the bottom. There is no wire or metal bar at the bottom. Can't afford $800 repair estimate to replace 24' (three sections.) Thinking maybe run some stranded cable through the bottom edge, clamp to posts and driving down some tent or garden stakes.

Comments or alternative suggestions are Welcome.

Tension Wire

My CLF has a tension wire stretched along the bottom and is secured at each post. The CL fabric is secured to the tension wire at regular intervals.

You could lay some rocks/bricks along the bottom. That would both fill the gap and discourage digging to get thru.

Or lay some 3x4 landscape timbers along the bottom on your side? Pretty cheap up here.

I think the landscape timbers sold locally are 3"x5" [8' long] and they are inexpensive, less than $4 each.
