Staining / Sealing Wood Fence
I had a new wooden fence built about three years ago. At that time, I used a brownish Olympic-brand stain and sealant for protection. Over time, some of the wood has bowed. I'd like to protect the good wood that;'s left (from sun and rain) but am unsure of what kind of product to use. Some have recommended a clear sealant (specifically Olympic Waterguard Clear Wood Sealer) , but I've also read that may not be good to put on top of wood that's already been treated. Can I just apply a new coat of the same stain and sealant used three years ago? Any thoughts on the best option here?

The bowed wood was likely caused by it being thin cut and not fully dried when nailed up, too far between supports also plays a part. Not much you can do about the bowed wood other than replace it or live with it.
Unlike interior stain there isn't any benefit from applying a clear coating over your fence stain. Nothing wrong with applying another coat of the stain you used originally. 3 yrs is a little soon for a fence stain to fail although a lot depends on the environment it's exposed to. You'll find better stains at your local paint store.
