Widest gate for my new fence?

Moving into a new house in 3 weeks and need to put up one section of fence right away to keep my dogs in the back yard. The plan is to put an onground pool in early next year so I want to build a double swing gate so I can get a skid steer into the backyard for the install. How wide of an opening can I have using 6x6 posts to build the fence?

The house is located in southern Ontario if that's a factor to consider.

TIA

A lot depends on the gates you install. A lighter gate can be made wider than a wider one and still be supported by 6x6 posts. Also important is how well you anchor the posts in the ground so they don't sag. 36" (90cm) wide+ gate panels are certainly an option providing a 6' (180cm) or more opening which is big enough for a small - medium sized skid steer.

Just put a couple of fence gates on 4x4posts. No problem with gates but found out needed to double size of concrete in ground to support gate from sagging. ended up putting a support post high over gate to stop sag.
