Lift master CSW-24V swing gates

Hi new here I’m having a real problem finding some desperately needed motor brushes for a liftmaster K76-36398 motor. Did not what to spend $500.00 for new motor just for bad brushes. Any one have any idea where to find some? Thanks Rick

Welcome to the forums.

What series motor ?
MA-003B brushes (series B motor)
MA-003C brushes (series C motor)
MA-003E brushes (series E motor)

Liftmaster brushes will run around $40-50 a set.
Aftermarket run around $15-20.

Pjmax thanks again for your reply. Just a little background I am a volunteer for my HOA in Florida 40 years repairing elevators for Otis, volunteered to help maintain our five sets of swing gates models CSW-24V so I’m dealing with 10 motors on just the gates along with 5 liftmaster bar operators. Everything ties into two Dooking systems along with 20 cameras on two different recorders. Been doing it for about 5 years now get most of my parts from Gatehouse supply but they can’t help me with the brushes they only sell the motors. Thanks again. Rick

Hi there! I am having the same issue finding the correct replacement brushes for a k76-36398 motor in a Liftmaster CSL24V gate opener. Apparently, there was a service bulletin issued for a problem with incorrectly sized brushes. I attempted to upload the Service Bulletin but was unable. I have embedded a link to S2014-03. I have contacted Liftmaster about it, but they said since it was from 2014, that I am pretty much out of luck. They would not even give me the correct dimensions of the brushes. I am not sure what series my motor is an I was hoping someone could help me identify it. I've attached pictures of the brush and motor. Thanks in advance for any input that might help me get a little farther down the road with this issue.

Derrick

Welcome to the forums.

Sorry for the delay.
There are many brush suppliers.

Do you have a dial micrometer ?
Measure the brushes for me.

We have determined the root cause to be a motor brush assembly that was sized slightly larger than the
specification tolerances.

That tells us absolutely nothing.
Do the brushes stick in the housings ?
Possibly the brushes are too big and overlapping the commutator too much.
