I don't recall if I've ever used Ready Seal. Is this going on a deck or siding? Often checking with your local paint store will help you learn what works best in your region. Here in the southeast oil base exterior stains don't hold up as well as latex or waterborne stains.

I applied Ready Seal redwood on pressure treated pickets for my backyard fence. The color is pretty attractive. I want something better and longer lasting for my front yard. It will be on 5/4 cedar board fence.

Seems like I've used ReadySeal decades ago but I don't remember much about it.
Most any paint store can match that stain color with one of theirs. What is the main issue you are having, fading?

I have no issues with ready seal so far. Just installed the fence this past july. Just wondering if folks experience better products so i don't have to re-stain it every few years. I don't mind re staining every 5 years though.
