Floor Joist Cross Brace/Bridge - Installing Ceiling Fan

Hey all,

I'm installing a ceiling fan on my first floor living room and the exact middle of the ceiling, where the fan brace will go, has metal cross bracing for the 2x10 joists.

Would it be ok to remove the cross bracing to add the ceiling fan brace? If not, can I relocate the cross bracing a few inches in either direction?

If neither of those two are a good option, I'll just bite the bullet and not have the fan in the center of the room.

Any help is appreciated.

The cross bracing can be relocated.
